Family Sessions
What to expect
We will listen to music. YOu may run, dance, skip, and cuddle. It is going to be fun, I promise.
Expect to be relaxed, not to be stressed out, and to have fun while loving on your family and letting me capture the sweet moments.
If you have a personality anything like mine, you probably have high expectations and an exact plan of how it will go in your head (let’s face it that plan hardly ever happens). As hard as it is, we are going to have to “let go” a little bit. Come into the session will zero expectations, whatever happens will be beautiful and you will love it and it will be who your family really is.
A few tips!
I suggest that you take the day off as a family. That way you can spend the entire day together and have plenty of time to get ready. Grab some coffee before or a treat after and make it a memorable day.
Be relaxed! I find that the mood of the parents can very easily transfer to the kids. You know what I mean? When you are so stressed and your kids know it so they start dumping toys and spilling drinks on purpose, Ya, like that. Come into the session relaxed and simply be affectionate with your kiddos and it will allow their sweet personalities to shine.
Stay close to each other during the session. I want you to be touching at all times and I will tell you to get even closer! Being too close isn't really even possible!
Trust me. Lifestyle doesn't necessarily mean that the entire session is going to be unposed and awkward. I will give you guidance and direction. Even if it seems weird-do it anyways, I promise it will make the most beautiful moments.
How to prepare your kids
Don’t tell them “you better listen at pictures” (I don’t want them to be scared of me!)
Don’t tell them to say cheese or smile.You don’t even need to tell them to look at the camera, if I need them to look I am going to be saying one of my crazy jokes.
My rule is that they can do nothing wrong, let them be free and wild. What you can tell them is that it is going to be awesome and fun!
Make sure kids are well feed and rested before the session
